A personification of “HMS [i]Monarch[/i]”, as part of a collaboration between [[azur_lane|Azur Lane]] and [[world_of_warships|World of Warships]]. Historically, the only “Monarch” from the era was an [i]Iron Duke[/i]-class dreadnought. The HMS [i]Monarch[/i] seen in both games is based off of a design proposal for what would become the [i]King George V[/i]-class battleships, armed with 9 15” guns. British policymakers, fearing another naval arms race, called for a reduction in main battery gun caliber. No ship of this class was ever laid down. Monarch is portrayed as a [[large_breasts|large-breasted]], [[purple_eyes|purple-eyed]] [[red_hair|redhead]] wearing a stylized Royal Navy uniform, with a [[black jacket]] [[jacket_on_shoulders|around her shoulders]] and with [[thigh_boots|thighhigh boots]]. Her rigging consists of her triple 15" guns as well as her secondary battery. Personality-wise, Monarch is bitter over being abandoned in favor of the 14" design that would go on to serve the Royal Navy, while being extremely proud of her capabilities, considering herself "The Greatest". She also expresses resentment towards her [i]King George V[/i]-class half-sisters, believing them inferior to her, especially [[Prince of Wales (Azur Lane)|]]. As a reference to being taken from [i]World of Warships[/i], Monarch gains an ability based off of the "Adrenaline Rush" skill, improving her reload as the damage she takes increases. h4.
