A British light cruiser added as part of a collaboration between Azur Lane and [[world_of_warships|World of Warships]], based off of a conceptual design meant to succeed the [i]Town[/i]-class cruisers already in use by the Royal Navy. Improvements over her predecessors included a dual-purpose main battery consisting of 12 6" guns and an increased torpedo armament. The design was abandoned and no ship was ever laid down. Post-war budget cuts pretty much doomed the project, shifting priority towards "newer design":[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minotaur-class_cruiser_(1947)] with rapid firing 152mm dual-purpose gun (which ultimately was also cancelled). Neptune is portrayed as a [[blue_hair|bluenette]] [[maid]], her hair done into twin pigtails. She weilds a trident, a reference to her namesake, the ancient Roman god of the seas. Neptune's personality is very teasing, with a sharp tongue. She also displays a very domineering attitude towards the Commander and considers them to be little more than a slave, similar to [[ajax_(azur_lane)|Ajax]].
