A type of [[hand net]] used for capturing [[butterfly|butterflies]]. For tagging purposes this is used for any type of net used for capturing bugs. A butterfly net has a fine lightweight mesh netting to prevent damaging the wings of a butterfly. For capturing bugs from brush and vegetation a sweep net is used.
