[b]Dragon Ball Super Broly[/b] is the twentieth movie in the [[Dragon Ball]] franchise and the first to carry the [[Dragon Ball Super]] branding, as well as the third Dragon Ball film personally supervised by creator [[Toriyama Akira]], following [[dragon ball z kami to kami|Battle of Gods]] (2013) and [[dragon ball z fukkatsu no f|Resurrection 'F']] (2015). The film takes place after the Universe Survival Saga depicted in Dragon Ball Super. Under the tagline "the greatest enemy, Saiyan", the film depicts the fate of series protagonist [[Son Goku]] and [[Vegeta]] as they encounter a new Saiyan called [[Broly (Dragon Ball Super)|]]. The movie's prologue also adapts the spinoff [[Dragon Ball Minus]], a retelling of Goku's origin, including the connection of the [[Frieza]] army and the history of the Saiyans. The first to feature Broly in a film personally written by the series creator.
