A two-piece female [[swimsuit]], consisting of a bra-like bikini top and a panty-like bikini bottom. Bikinis are available in many variations. Most bikinis are intended to maximize body exposure, particularly of the [[midriff]] and [[cleavage]] areas. The most important aspect of the bikini is that the bottom is below the [[navel]], in comparison to a normal two-piece swimsuit. However, it should be stated that the vast majority of modern two-piece swimsuits are bikinis anyway and therefore do expose the navel as a matter of course. If only the bra portion of the bikini is worn, use [[bikini top only]]. Likewise, use [[bikini bottom only]] when only the panty portion is worn.
