A side-scrolling platformer video game series by [[KONAMI]], known often in Japan as [code]悪魔城ドラキュラ[/code] ([i]Akumajou Dracula[/i], literally: [i]Devil's Castle Dracula[/i]). The player typically controls one character at a time, often of the Belmont (Belmondo, in Japan) clan, in a journey through [[Dracula (castlevania)|]]'s demon castle, Castlevania, to defeat him and his hordes.
