[b]Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain[/b] (メタルギアソリッドV ザ・ファントム・ペイン) is a [[video game]] from the [[metal_gear_(series)|Metal Gear]] stealth action game series published by [[Konami]]. It was released in 2016. It is the ninth entry in the [[metal_gear_(series)|Metal Gear]] series, and the first to have an open world gameplay structure. The game has been released for the PC and the [[Playstation 3]] and [[Xbox 360]] home consoles, as well as the [[PlayStation 4]] and [[Xbox One]] next generation consoles. MGS V uses the new multi-platform and open world [i]Fox[/i] game engine developed by Kojima Productions. [[Kojima Hideo]] himself revealed that [[Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes]] is not a separate game, but rather the prologue and initial part of Metal Gear Solid V. h4.
