[b][i]Zeta Gundam[/i][/b] is the 1985 sequel to [[Mobile Suit Gundam]]. It was created by largely the same creative staff as is predecessor, but [[Ookawara Kunio]] was assisted in mechanical designs by [[Nagano Mamoru]] and [[Fujita Kazumi]]. [i]Zeta Gundam[/i] followed in the footsteps of [[Choujikuu Yousai Macross]] (1982) by including a large number of transforming robots. It is set in the year Universal Century 0087, eight years after the conclusion of the original series.
