A [[personification]] of the Chinese degarotary insult 日本鬼子/rìběn guǐzi ("nihon onigo" in Japanese), which means "Japanese Devils." The word itself originated from the 2001 Japanese doctumentary of the same name about various surviving veteran of the Sino-Japanese wars and [[World War II]] recounting their war crimes. This word is often used in a debate revolves around the annual homage to the [[Yasukuni shrine]] (the resting place of several Japanese war criminals). Her name is derived from an alternative reading of the characters, where 日本 = "Hinomoto" and 鬼子 = "Oniko." There is an [[UTAU]] based on her character.
