[[Zentradi]] [[alien]] one-man tactical aerospace [[walker]] [[mecha]] that first appeared in the [b][I][[Choujikuu Yousai Macross]][/i][/b] 1982 anime series. The [[Esbeliben]] [b]Regult[/b] is a lightly armored combat walker, but compensates this by having its [[maclone]] pilot equipped with a heavy [[armor]]ed [[spacesuit]] and by being armed with several energy cannons and other powerful weaponry. The standard version is armed with 2 pivoting forward firing medium-bore electron beam guns, 2 forward and downward firing pivoting small-bore anti-personnel cannons and a self-defense rear aimed upper turret with 2 small-bore anti-aircraft laser guns. While primarily designed as an all-terrain, ground based, motorized infantry and armored support unit, this mecha also has superior speed and maneuverability in [[space]] thanks to its high number of vernier thrusters. Easy to produce and pilot, the Regult is usually deployed in very vast numbers and in massive attack waves to overwhelm, encircle and obliterate the enemy. It is the main attack mecha of all the Zentradi forces. There are specialized variants of the walker, which range from light and heavy [[artillery]] versions armed with [[missile]]s to an unarmed version designed for Reconaissance and Electronic Countermeasure missions.
