Sophocles is a character introduced in [[pokemon|Pokémon]] [[pokemon sm|Sun and Moon]]. He is one of Alola's Trial Captains, specializing in the Electric type. In Sophocles' trial, the player battles a Totem [[Vikavolt]]. In [[pokemon usum|Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon]], they fight a Totem [[Togedemaru]] instead. Sophocles inherited the position of captain from his cousin, [[Molayne (pokemon)|]], who he shares a close bond with. He is into mechanics, having invented various machines, and is the founder of the Festival Plaza. However, he is quite shy, and afraid of the dark.
