Lit. "Aria the Scarlet Ammo" An ongoing 2008 light novel series by Akamatsu Chuugaku and illustrated by [[Kobuichi]], with an ongoing 2009 manga adaptation illustrated by Koyoka Yoshino, a spring 2011 anime adaptation by J.C. Staff, and an ongoing 2010 spinoff manga [[Hidan no Aria AA]] illustrated by Tachibana Shogako, with its own anime adaptation by J.C. Staff. On the way to school, [[Tooyama Kinji]], a student of Tokyo Butei High, a prestigious school which trains youths to become "Butei" - armed civilian law enforcers - nearly fell victim to a serial bomber known as the "Butei Killer", were he not saved by [[kanzaki h. aria|Kanzaki H. Aria]], his diminutive schoolmate and an elite gunner/swordsman. Despite his misgivings about his life as a Butei, Kinji nevertheless joins her in hunting down the "Butei Killer" before more of their schoolmates are endangered. h6.
