[b]マグマ大使[/b] ([i]Magma Taishi[/i] / [i]Maguma Taishi[/i], also known as [b][i]Ambassador Magma[/i][/b]) is the title and protagonist of a manga and tokusatsu [[science fiction]] TV series created by [[Tezuka Osamu]] in the 60s. The TV series, produced by "P" Productions, aired on Fuji TV from July 4, 1966 to September 25, 1967, with a total of 52 episodes. It was the [b]first color [[tokusatsu]] TV series ever produced in Japan[/b], beating [[Ultraman]] to the airwaves by 6 days. The show later aired in the U.S. in the 70s, dubbed in English, as [i][b]The Space Giants[/b][/i]. It was renamed as [i][b]Monsters from Outer Space[/b][/i] and [i][b]Space Avengers[/b][/i] in the rest of the world. The series was remade as a 13-episode OVA series in 1992-1993. h4.
