Tag type: General

Skin that is darker in tone than the usual Caucasian/East Asian skintone. Characters usually have this skintone naturally, but sometimes have dark skin due to a tan, alternate coloring, etc. Generally applied to "natural" skin colors.

A good example of a character with dark skin is Shihouin_Yoruichi, from Bleach.

*tanned/tan_skin - The middle ground of skin colors, generally not considered "dark" but possibly "light brown". Not exclusive to skin color change caused by the sun.
