A recurring antagonist from [[Gegege no Kitarou]], he first appeared in the [i]"Great Youkai War"[/i] story in 1966. Described as a floating shadow with a single eye, he is the most powerful of all Western monsters and can submit anyone to his will with his gaze. He achieved internet popularity in the 2000's with the [[kono lolicon domome]] meme. For his non-canonical daughter, see [[Beako]].
