The main antagonist of [[Mobile Suit Gundam]] and the eponymous [[Char's Counterattack]], a supporting character in [[zeta gundam|Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam]] and eternal rival and foe of [[Amuro Ray]]. He is originally a blonde-haired [[Zeon]] ace pilot of the [[Zaku II S Char Custom|MS-06S Zaku II Commander Type]], [[Zeong|MSN-02 Zeong]], [[Hyaku Shiki|MSN-00100 Hyaku Shiki]] and [[Sazabi|MSN-04 Sazabi]]/[[nightingale (gundam)|MSN-04II Nightingale]] and is usually depicted with some sort of eyewear or headwear (usually [[sunglasses]] or his trademark [[helmet]]), concealing his blue eyes. Has an absolutely rocking image song in the form of "Char Ga Kuru". Voiced by [[Ikeda Shuuichi]]. In Japan, Char is almost as famous and known as the very popular and legendary western [[science_fiction|sci-fi]] icons [[Darth Vader]] and Mr. [[Spock]].
