An international chain of 24-hour convenience stores that originated and is still headquartered in Dallas, Texas, United States. Its stores are located in 17 countries (as of July 2020), Japan having one of its largest markets. In 1991, Japanese affiliate Ito-Yokado acquired 70% of 7-Eleven and it was reorganized as a wholly owned subsidiary of 7-Eleven Japan.
