Malon first appears in The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. In the past she's a small girl who lives with her father Talon at Lon Lon ranch in the center of Hyrule.
Seven years in the future she is a grown woman who is forced to work at the ranch or else the new owner and former ranch hand Ingo will hurt her beloved horses.

Malon is a young woman of average height, long red hair with blue eyes and a noticeable bust. She often wears a white short sleeve blouse with the hylian word for lon on the sleeves, a long purple skirt and a brown apron over the skirt. She also wears fabric around her neck held together by a pin that resembles Bowser from Mario.

In the game The Legend of Zelda Majoras Mask her child and adult models were reused for the characters Romani and Cremia.

Malon also made small appearances in The Minish Cap and Four Swords Adventures
