Hololive (stylized as "hololive") is an all-female [[virtual YouTuber]] group managed by Hololive Production, which itself is owned and operated by Cover Corp. As of July 2022, the Hololive group consists of 54 currently active VTubers divided across 3 major branches: the 35 members of the original Japanese-speaking branch (unofficially referred to as Hololive Japan), the 9 members of [[Hololive Indonesia]], and the 10 members of [[Hololive English]]. (There were also 11 members who are no longer active, including the 6 members of the [[Hololive China]] branch which was disbanded in December 2020.) Each branch is further divided into multiple generations, where each generation is a batch of VTubers who debuted at the same time. Hololive Production also manages the all-male counterpart group [[Holostars]]. In February 2021, Cover announced [[Hololive Alternative]], a multimedia project including a Twitter manga and music video that aims to tell in-universe stories using the Hololive vtubers' character backstories. Later, in August 2021, Cover announced [[Hololive Error]], a horror-themed spin-off project. A year later, in June 2022, Cover announced [[Holoearth]], a game featuring various Hololive members. h4.
