Obviously, she is a raccoon (Procyon lotor).
Referred to as アライさん "Arai-san" by Fennec (kemono friends)|, which is short for 洗熊 ("araiguma", the Japanese word for raccoon), lit. "washing bear," leading to common depictions of her washing things or having an interest in doing so.
Raccoon spends most of the episodes searching for Kaban, who she believes to have stolen her hat, with the level-headed Fennec tagging along.
She has a verbal tic in which she ends all of her sentences with "noda".
