Umamusume character. "Onee-san" archetype. Maruzensky is the oldest horse represented in the franchise (discounting akikawa_yayoi_(umamusume)|the hayakawa_tazuna|staff), being active in the late '70s.

Horse girl. Has long hair|long wavy hair|wavy brown hair|brown hair. Also has blue eyes (sometimes aqua eyes|teal or green eyes|green). Wears a large black bow|black hair bow behind her head and a blue bow|blue ear bow on her right ear.

Unlike most other Umamusume characters, the color of Maruzensky's ear bow is inconsistently portrayed in fanart, and may instead be black bow|black, grey bow|grey, blue bow|blue, green bow|green, or striped bow|striped. Sometimes this may be swapped out for another ear accessory, such as a bead ear ornament|ear 'necklace'.

Maruzensky's school uniform is the Tracen school uniform|Tracen Academy school uniform.

Maruzensky's racing outfit resembles a modified 'serafuku' uniform with 'race queen' influences. It consists of a yellow-trimmed red jacket|red long sleeves|long-sleeved 'race queen' jacket worn over a modified red shirt|red 'serafuku' top (with white bowtie) and a yellow-trimmed red skirt. A leather bodice is worn around the waist. The outfit also features thigh straps, red legwear|red thighhighs and yellow-trimmed brown footwear|brown high heel boots.

When out of uniform, Maruzensky is commonly depicted wearing a floral_print|floral-patterned sleeveless white dress worn with a chest belt|belt under her chest. Often she will also have a driving jacket tied around her neck.[/expand]

Maruzensky most... salient trait is her old-fashioned tastes as - to reiterate - the original Maruzensky is the oldest horse represented in the franchise. This is made worse by Maruzensky being overly self-conscious and trying to compensate by latching onto 'current' trends and in-vogue teen slang speak... except she has a tendency to pick up trends and slang that have gone out of fashion at least a decade ago. Which she will then loudly proclaim to others to show how "hip" she is (with opposite results). The fact that multiple other popular characters have their real-life counterparts being Maruzensky's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren makes this all the more worse among the fanbase and a ripe fodder for endless "Hag Maruzensky" jokes. Even Cygames takes multiple shots at her in her old character bio.

Additionally, Maruzensky is implied to have access to considerable wealth. She owns a Lamborghini-esque sports car (itself also a meta-allusion to her Supercar alias), with the official 4koma depicting her using it for street-racing. Fanart sometimes depict Special Week (umamusume)| sitting in the passenger seat being terrified of Maruzensky's driving. She is also noted to live outside campus. This is due to the fact that the original horse's (short) racing career predates the Miho training center and thus, trained in Tokyo.
