The largest of the four major brands of beer in Japan (the others being [[kirin_(company)|Kirin]], [[sapporo_beer|Sapporo]], and [[Suntory]]). They are most well known for [i]Asahi Super Dry[/i] (アサヒスーパードライ, often shortened to スーパードライ), a beer that transformed the Japanese beer industry when it released in 1987.
