A forthcoming World Expo, which will be held in [[Osaka_(city)|]], Kansai, Japan. The logo, nicknamed "inochi-no-kagayaki" and created by graphic designer Shimada Tamotsu, has become a talking point on Japanese Twitter due to its mascot-like, albeit [[eldritch abomination|eldritch]], design. This has spawned parodies interpreting the logo in a variety of ways, ranging from cute mascot to clothing motif to horrifying monster.
