A character in Gintama, modeled after Okita Souji.
Okita is the best swordsman in the shinsengumi_(gintama). Although he is a master of kenjutsu, he frequently uses a bazooka. He tends to be light-hearted and somewhat childish, though his speech is heavily deadpan.
In comparison to hijikata_toshiro, Okita is very lazy when it comes to his job as he is often seen taking naps when he is supposed to work. He is also known as a sadist, being highly skilled in torturing people.
Okita appears to be a mild-featured young man with short, light_brown_hair and brown-red_eyes (blue in the manga). He has an almost-childlike innocent face as well as full lips and is often described as handsome. He is the also the youngest shinsengumi member at 18.
Has an older sister, okita_mitsuba.
