A 9mm semiautomatic [[handgun]] first made by the Fabbrica d'Armi Pietro Beretta of Brescia, Italy in 1975. It can be recognized by the large slide cutout exposing much of the barrel and the slide-mounted safety/decocking lever (the original model had a frame-mounted safety).
