A character in Gintama, based loosely on Sakamoto Ryouma.

One of gintoki_sakata katsura_kotarou and takasugi_shinsuke’s former comrades in the Joui War. He is the leader of the trading fleet Kaientai, and is labeled a "natural idiot" by everyone around him.

Sakamoto has brown naturally curly_hair (similar to Gintoki), and wears a dark red coat, tabi-less geta, and round-rim sunglasses. His eyes, when not hidden, are blue. He has a scar on his right hand that starts at his palm and goes halfway up his lower arm.

Sakamoto is extremely positive and is almost always seen either smiling or laughing, even at inappropriate times. He is also known to be a pervert who frequents brothels across the Galaxy, picking up STDs according to his second-in-command, Mutsu_(gintama).

Since the war, he carries a handgun instead of a katana.
