Wiki History Listing

V1 A simple, home made and improvised incendiary device made by just filling a glass bottle with fuel, sealing it with a piece of cloth and turning on the cloth with fire. Then the bottle is tossed at the objective, which immediately is covered by the burning fuel after the glass breaks upon contact.

It has been used by different gangs and rebel groups across the decades and in different parts of the world.

Its name comes from an insulting reference (not a tribute) to [[Soviet]] foreign minister [[Vyacheslav Molotov]], who was responsible for the partition of Finland during [[Joseph Stalin]]'s regime. Molotov himself highly disliked the name.
