A multiplayer online action role-playing game and successor to [i][[Phantasy Star Online]][/i] of the [i][[Phantasy Star]][/i] series by [[Sega]]. It was released in Japan on August 31, 2006 for the [[Playstation 2]] and PC, and on December 12, 2006 for the [[Xbox]]. It's North American release was on October 24, 2006, and in Europe on November 24th, 2006; both for all platforms. The story and setting of [i]Phantasy Star Universe[/i], while similar, is not directly related to [i][[Phantasy Star Online]][/i]. Character Tags Note: The traditional class names of the [i][[Phantasy Star Online]][/i] series do not to apply to [i]Phantasy Star Universe[/i].
