A character from the_Moomins book series. His first appearance was in the 1966 novel the Exploits of Moominpappa.

The Joxter is an old friend of Moominpappa and the_Muddler. He had a brief relationship with the_Mymble which led to the birth of their son, Snufkin.

In the books, The Joxter is described as being dirty and careless in appearance, wearing an old hat adorned with wilted flowers. In the 90’s anime adaption, he looks very similar to Snufkin. He has dark brown_hair and blue_eyes. His nose is noticeably a shade darker than the rest of his face. Like his son, frequently seen smoking a pipe.
