Green Dam Girl (绿坝娘, [i]lǜ bà niáng[/i]) is a [[personification]] of the [[China|Chinese]] government's DRM and filtering software "绿坝·花季护航 ([i]Luba Huaji Huhang[/i], Green Dam Youth Escort)" as well as an alternate personification of "[[Great Firewall|The Great Firewall]]" (China's elaborate internet censorship algorithm). At first, her figure resembled [[Kawashiro Nitori]]. But later, her various designs appeared. The word "Green Dam" were later used by both the Chinese netizens and outsiders as a shorthand term for the Chinese internet censorship (and various censorship deployed by the CCP in general).
