An ancient and brutal method of execution and sexual torture: a female victim is forced to straddle a tall upright pole - such as a stake, or spear - so that it penetrates her vagina. Without support under her feet, she will slowly slide down the pole until it goes all the way through her body, killing her only after prolonged humiliation and torment. Impalement victims have been known to survive on the pole for many hours, or even several days.
