Also known as [i]Sankaku-Jime[/i] in judo, it is a type of figure-four choke hold that strangles the opponent by encircling the opponent's neck and one arm with the legs in a configuration similar to the shape of a triangle. The technique is a type of lateral vascular restraint that constricts the blood flow from the carotid arteries to the brain. In professional wrestling, it is used by several wrestlers, such as [I]All Elite Wrestling[/I] wrestlers Bryan Danielson and Kyle O'Reilly, and WWE wrestler Pete Dunne/Butch. Ultimate Fighting Championship mixed martial artist Nate Diaz infamously won a match using the triangle choke, where he insulted his opponent by showing middle fingers and flexing his muscles while locking the hold. Danielson adopted Diaz' flexing taunt for his own version of the triangle choke. h4. See also * scissorhold Updated by bot Sun, Sep 18 '22, 02:54 |
