V1 [b]Love Live![/b] is a Japanese multimedia franchise by [[Bushiroad]] revolving around groups of fictional high school girls who become idols to compete in the national school idol tournament.

Unlike the other idol franchise, [b]Love Live![/b] is notable for linking the fictional idol character with the [[real life]] semi-idol group consisted of a newly recruited [[voice actor|voice actress]] specifically for the character (with an exception of some members of the first installment who already have voice acting and music career). With the annual "Love Live Fest!" featuring a concert of the voice actress of each group.

The original series features the idol group [b]"μ's"[/b] (pronounced Muse) at Otonokizaka High School in Tokyo.

[[Love Live! Sunshine!!]]
The follow-on series features the idol group [b]"Aqours"[/b] (pronounced Aqua) at the ocean-side Uranohoshi High School.

[[Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club]]
The 3rd entry into the series, centered around the girls of the Nijigasaki School Idol Club introduced in the mobile game [[Love Live! School Idol Festival All Stars]].

[[Love Live! Superstar!!]]
A 4th series, featuring the idol group [b]"Liella"[/b] at the Yuigaoka High School near Harajuku.
