Azur Lane's personification of the Japanese aircraft carrier [i]Hiryuu[/i], voiced by Ishigami Shizuka. h4. Appearance In both base and retrofit forms, she has long white hair, rabbit ears, and blue eyes. Her flight deck is attached to one side while she launches her planes as hanafuda cards. In her base form (post #2958390), she wears blue-colored Japanese clothes mixed with a modern blue skirt and a red belt with an anchor attached. She also wears regular white socks, heeled shoes, and a single black glove on her right hand. In her retrofit form (post #3364961), she gains a long blue cape cut in the middle, and a blue gunbai military fan with the kanji "ryuu" (lit. dragon). She also wears a long necktie with her name printed on it, as well as a single thighhigh on her right leg. Burnt hanafuda cards are shown around her. h4. History In real life, she was conceived as an improved Souryuu (Azur Lane) design to correct the seakeeping issues of the latter. Her island was located on the port side, one of the only two carriers in history (alongside Akagi (Azur Lane)) with that configuration. Her aviators were primarily responsible for the sinking of Arizona (Azur Lane) in Pearl Harbor. In the battle of Midway, she was the only one out of four spared the onslaught of the American dive bombers in the morning strike, trailing them on the way to the US carriers, where her aviators crippled Yorktown (Azur Lane). A later afternoon strike finally put her out of action, and she was later scuttled with her Carrier Division commander Yamaguchi Tamon choosing to go down with her (although references to Tamon-maru are almost none in her Azur Lane incarnation). h4.
