A 2001 Japanese animated [[fantasy]] film written and directed by [[miyazaki_hayao_(person)|Miyazaki Hayao]] and produced by Studio Ghibli. Known in America simply as [b]Spirited Away[/b], this movie is about a a shy and timid girl, [[ogino chihiro|Chihiro]], whose family is moving. In the process they visit an abandoned theme park, which turns out to be the entrance to the spirit world. Trapped there, she gets a job at the local bath house, where she learns about the magnificent world of spirits. She is guided by a mysterious boy named [[haku (sen to chihiro no kamikakushi)|Haku]] as she tries to make her way home. It garnered the Oscar for Best Animated Feature in 2002, the only anime movie to win an Oscar so far. h4.
