In the same vein as kaga_(azur_lane)|Kaga, Akagi is portrayed as a nine-tailed fox_girl|kitsune with brown_hair|brown hair and red_eyes|dark red eyes. Her figure is large_breasts|quite vixenous, and her outfit exposes quite a bit of her bust.

In the game's storyline, Akagi is portrayed as Kaga's close partner. She displays a violent personality and is infamously yandere for the commander_(azur_lane)|Commander. In the anime, her obsession yuri|turns towards Kaga instead. In both cases, however, she is traumatized by the loss of her elder sister amagi_(azur_lane)|Amagi and is determined to resurrect her from the dead by any means she can, including the use of Siren technology. This leads to her and Kaga becoming the de facto leaders of the Sakura Empire and their war against the nations of the Azur Lane alliance.
